Next-Gen 2027 Silverado First Look: Everything Chevy Just Revealed
First Look: The Next-Generation 2027 Chevy Silverado Is the Most Powerful Silverado Ever

Chevy just pulled the cover off the truck full-size shoppers have been waiting on: the completely redesigned, next-generation 2027 Silverado 1500. This isn’t a refresh — it’s a ground-up reimagining of America’s truck, with two all-new V8s, a redesigned interior loaded with screens, and bolder styling from front to back. Here’s your first look at what’s coming later this year.
Two All-New V8s Lead a Four-Engine Lineup
Power is the headline. The 2027 Silverado offers four hardworking engines: the upgraded TurboMax, the class-exclusive Duramax 3.0L Turbo-Diesel, and all-new 5.7L and 6.6L V8s. Chevy says these next-generation V8s create the most capable and refined Silverado 1500 powertrain lineup ever, with improved power and torque.

There’s real heritage behind those engines, too. Chevy introduced its first V8 back in 1955, and these new American-assembled 5.7L and 6.6L V8s mark 70 years of V8 excellence.
Bolder, More Commanding Design

The Next-Generation Silverado wears an all-new exterior with a bolder, more planted stance and a stronger, more expressive grille — yet it’s still unmistakably a Chevy truck. Signature touches include LED headlamps and taillamps, dual exhaust, a tailgate appliqué, and a 3-foot center high-mounted brake lamp.
A Cabin Built Around Major Tech

Step inside and the redesign really shows. The 2027 Silverado offers over 60 inches of combined available screens, anchored by a class-leading 16.3-inch center display and a 12.2-inch Driver Information Center, plus a new available class-leading 11.5-inch front passenger screen for a seamless, connected experience.
Other cabin highlights:
- Super Cruise with Trailering — the only hands-free towing technology on the road, now available across more of the lineup than ever. Drivers have logged more than a billion hands-free miles.
- Panoramic sunroof — a Silverado first, standard on High Country and available on ZR2, Trail Boss, and Silverado.
- New Multi-Flex Center Console that folds flat into a sturdy, ergonomic workspace.
- OnStar Basics standard for 8 years.
The Redesigned High Country

At the top of the lineup, the redesigned High Country blends strength and sophistication with an exclusive grille and modern black badging with Tritan Satin accents, exclusive 22-inch wheels, real wood interior detailing, and debossed head restraints and center console.
Off-Road Capability That Doesn’t Quit

For drivers who leave the pavement behind, ZR2 and Trail Boss give the Next-Generation Silverado an off-road resume that’s second to none — with a 2-inch factory lift and ZR2-exclusive 35-inch MT tires.
Seven Strong Choices
The 2027 lineup simplifies to seven models, so there’s a fit for every kind of driver:
- ZR2 — the off-road flagship
- High Country — premium, evolved
- Trail Boss — off-road authority
- Silverado — the core volume trim
- Custom Trail Boss
- Custom
- WT — the work-ready base
